About Zeki Learning: Zeki Learning is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit and Fair Trade certified brand, achieved by providing healthy working conditions and paying living wages for our mother artisans. We collaborate with experienced early childhood educators to design children’s toys and games rooted in traditional Montessori principles that encourage the development of essential physical and mental skills that children need to grow and succeed. Our products are lovingly made by a dedicated team of mothers who suffer from financial hardship. Each product is designed by hand using locally-sourced upcycled materials. Each Zeki Learning purchase contributes directly to the economic empowerment and financial independence of these women and their children.
The Forest Habitat Storyboard allows children to tap into their imagination to create their own forest life habitat. The soft, handmade pieces create a tactile experience where children can learn spatial relationships, discover elements of a forest habitat, and explore new animals and creatures.
This Storyboard comes with animal, plant, and nature pieces that can be found in the forest. Children can use these pieces to imagine and create an endless possibility of forest life stories, allowing for long-lasting entertainment. The hands-on nature of this toy develops fine motor skills while also stimulating a child’s brain and senses. Additionally, children are learning about forest animals and habitats, which sets the foundation for them to learn further scientific and biological concepts. Play with this Storyboard develops long-term cognitive development. The play mat rolls up and comes with a cotton carrying case for small pieces, making it so a child can play with this toy at home, while traveling, or in quiet places. It can be played independently, with others, or as a guided activity.
